Wednes-Day 1 (after Spring Break)
Chem 4/5 - started review by tying up extraneous topics:
Alloys and their physical properties.
Metallic bonds via MO theory.
Semi-metal doping.
UV, IR, and visible spectroscopy.
Tomorrow- finish with Beer's Law colorimetry in kinetics problems.
Finish 1999 exam.
Chem 8- began 1999 analysis.
APB - did final review of Waves 1, showing the difference between harmonics and pipe length.
Started Waves 2 by looking at various terms/phenomena: reflection, refraction, diffraction.
Showed the "bending" of incident waves (at an angle to the normal) is caused really by the change in speed of the wave. (showed via videos).
started to derive Snell's law.
