Mon-Day 2

AP 1 - explained avg velocity from V initial and V final....graphically and algebraically....

derived kinematic equations....summarize and problem- solve tomorrow....

AP Chem - GFM of compound calcs....get diff between gram molecular/atomic/ionic/formula mass or just use
molar mass...

Did fractional/percent comp of an element or water in sample to that element or water mass in sample...
described heating to "constant mass"....

tomorrow = reverse engineer to get empirical formula from fractional/percent comp....explain why only emp form is possible.....
then do scaling factor to molecular formula....

PRINT NOTES.....

RC - showed cations vs. anions    (point out that metals form cation only, nonmetals form anions only!)

drew out as Bohr Models.....showed general periodic table of metals and nonmetals by section....

didn't get to A, Z notation yet....tomorrow but start with flame test lab...prep safety - sign sheets....and solutions or dishes with sticks....
